We’ve all been there right? You’re decorating your bedroom and then the big question arrives ‘what to do with all that space above your bed’. Now, there are plenty of ways to decorate that big empty space. I’ve rounded up some examples from gallery walls to murals and shelves. You decide what fits best in your bedroom.
The Gallery Wall
Gallery walls are there in all shapes and sizes. From minimalistic gallery walls to extremely cluttered ones. If you love to display art or photographes this is a lovely way to do it.
Minimalistic gallery walls
Gallery walls that cover the entire wall

Bookshelves make any room better in my opinion. So why not put them behind your bed? Very handy if you can’t sleep at night. Oh.. if you live in a earthquake area this might not be the best idea 😉
Murals and other statement walls
If you want a true statement piece in your bedroom than perhaps a mural is a good idea or make paint the wall with chalkboard, that way you can always change the look of your room and scribble nice personal messages on yout wall
Mirrors are a nice way to decorate your wall and all the reflections give a nice effect. If you have a small bedroom a large mirror is a good way to make it look larger
Tapestries & weavings
I really like a tapestry above your bed. Some even hang up a rug above the bed, a good way to give the space some extra texture and warmth.
The great thing about a shelf above your bed is that it’s so flexible. You can constantly change the look of your bedroom just by styling your shelf differently
