Golden details in interior design, I feel as if it’s been a bit pushed aside by brass and copper but gold works very well if you want to create a classy summer feeling in your home. In combination with creamy white and light wood you can create a lovely summer interior that doesn’t feel like Christmas decor. These spaces styled by Marianne Luning are beautiful examples on how to decorate your home with golden details and thereby creating a home ready for summer. And to make everything even more beautiful the spaces all have beautiful raw and unfinished brick walls which gives the golden spaces an edgy feeling.
Tine K Home just released its Fall 2016 catalog and it is filled with beautiful interior inspiration. The colour scheme of the Fall 2016 Collection of Tine K Home is inspired by the pale colors found in flower bouquets and botanic plants and how those colors work together. Previous collections and elegant hotel interiors inspired Tine K to design new elegant furniture such as daybeds and poufs in moss green and dark velvet. Have you ever walked into an interior shop thinking I could live here? Well those were my first thoughts when I saw the pictures of the shop by Amber Lewis of Amber Interiors. The shop has a white base but is filled with colourful fabrics with bold patterns giving the space a light, airy and fun vibe. You should really take a look at the before pictures on her website to see what an amazing job she did in renovating her own shop. And if you happen to be in Calabasas, California anytime soon than I would definitely stop by and take a look for yourself!
Summer is approaching and if you’re not already looking forward to the summer months than surely these images from the summer collection of H&M Home will get you in the mood. The lovely bright colours in blue, green and pink tones from this H&M collection make me yearn for summer, what about you?
I love these large wall map illustrations by Marin Montagut that he created in collaboration with A Paris chez Antoinette Poisson. In the illustrations you see three iconic Parisian gardens: Luxembourg, Tuileries and Jardin des Plantes. Marin has made the original drawings of the plans of each garden as they are today, while respecting the spirit of the engravings of the eighteenth century. The wall maps are available in black and white and there are a limited amount of maps in colour.

Australian photographer Vee Speers has launched a new photographic serie called Botanica. Every interior design lover must be familiar with the series ‘The Birthday Party‘ or ‘Thirteen‘ by Vee Speers which are frequently seen in homes all over the world. This new serie Botanica features four beautiful flowers that have been photographed as if it was a person – like a portrait. According to Vee Speers this series symbolises a moment of quiet solitude in a world that is becoming increasingly complex. The photographes were shot outside in morning light and draws the viewer into the botanical world which tells the story of a blooming life. Vee Speers has such a unique way of taking photographes, you can instantly tell it’s her work and I am certain that we will see this new serie Botanica a lot in future home tours.
