Now, there are plenty of ways to decorate that big empty space. I’ve rounded up some examples from gallery walls to murals and shelves. You decide what fits best in your bedroom.
Especially in these cold months it’s nice to spend some extra time in your bed. So a bedroom that looks good is essential. These are my favourite bedrooms of 2016 so you can get some inspiration 🙂 (top picture: a double duty bedroom)

Yesterday I showed you the colorful Anthropologie collection inspired by Cuba. Today we’re moving to the other side of the world and look at the collection inspired by Paris. Who doesn’t love Parisian interiors? They’re so full of elegence and the herringbone floors, high ceilings and historical details are to die for. From soft pastel colors, gold details to romantic, eccentric floral patterns. This Anthropologie fall collection inspired by Paris has it all.
The nice thing about summer coming to an end (eh.. wel it’s 30 degrees at the moment) is all the new fall catalogues that are rolling in. Anthropologie just released its new fall catalogue and I’m super excited about it! They created wonderful collections with the slogan ‘where exploration meets inspiration’. You can already guess, the new Anthropologie fall collection is inspired by 3 lovely destinations. The first one I’m showing you is called ‘the character of color’ with its inspirational country Cuba. The collection is filled with beautiful colors such as pink, blue and yellow which will give your home a vibrant atmosphere. You really need to see this collection, so come join me and imagine yourself in Cuba with this new Anthropologie collection.
Bohemian rooms are everywhere at the moment. You might think that a bohemian room is always filled with color with very busy decor, which isn’t the case. Bohemian rooms come in various styles, from the colorful eccentric ones to a more neutral style. What the various bohemian rooms do have in common is that they’re filled with textiles, they have a very cozy vibe and most importantly there are no rules! Bohemian rooms are all about creating a space that you’re comfortable in, with items that have meaning for you that you love to show off. Now you might have just moved to a new dorm room (exciting!) and looking for a way to make your space your own. Or maybe you’re sick of you old decor and want to create a bohemian vibe in your room. Whatever the reason get inspired by these wonderful bohemian rooms and see how you can get the bohemian look!
Ah.. sunday already! I hope it’s been sunny and warm wherever you are as it was here. This week I’ve updated my list of interior design & architecture books plus a new feature here on my blog. I’ve added a shop section in my right sidebar. Instead of only pinning the items, I made a widget and show my favourite furniture and decor on the blog as well. The shop section will be updated every week with new products that I love.
Whether you follow interior blogs or your interior inspiration comes mainly from pinterest you can’t have missed the bedroom of Dutch blogger and interior stylist Holly Marder of Avenue Lifestyle (I have posted her beautiful bedroom on my tumblr as well which you can find here). The spaces that she styles are always beautifully light, serene and warm feeling. This bedroom in a penthouse near Amsterdam is no exception, the bedroom is decorated in a minimal colour palette and she used beautiful materials to style this space. Holly styled the entire penthouse of her client and after seeing this bedroom I can’t wait to see the rest of the rooms.
