I love to look at small apartments and see all the clever small space ideas the owners have come up with. In this small loft in Sweden there are definitely some smart storage ideas. In the kitchen the microwave is hidden in the bar table and the stairs to the loft bed have plenty of storage underneath (including a spot for the washingmachine). Besides the small space ideas I love this apartment for its warmth and unique design. The beautiful wooden floor and rustic elements such as the wooden kitchen and exposed brick wall give the little home such a cozy atmosphere. And as a finishing touch the apartment is filled with plants, so lovely!
One of my favourite interior stylists Emma Fischer has created another beautiful apartment. The apartment is only 35 square meters but it actually looks pretty spacious. The home is decorated in true Scandinavian style with lots of natural colours, good design pieces and clever small space ideas. I really like how she used the windowsill as a seating space for the kitchen table. A real lovely apartment.
This Berlin apartment of only 40 square meter has been transformed by Project Architecture Company into a luxurious loft. They added a large multifunctional wall that serves as bookshelves, workspace, sleeping loft and storage space. Not only is it multifunctional but it’s also a great eye catcher. I love the touch of pink that you can see from the sleeping loft. The space may be small but it feels spacious and looks absolutely luxurious.
If you’re on Instagram a lot I’m sure you’ve come across Patrick Janelle a.k.a @aguynamedpatrick. That Patrick has a great sense of style is obvious if you take one quick glance at his Instagram account. It’s filled with beautiful images of the places he travels to and his (fashion)style is always on point. When he moved to this 1-bedroom SoHo apartment, he asked Homepolish to design a home that reflects his stylish lifestyle. The apartment shows perfectly that the size of your home doesn’t matter, as long as it’s styled well.
I must say I’m a bit jealous of Kelly Framel and her boyfriend. This cozy railroad home in Chelsea isn’t her main living space but her pied-à-terre. It was a scary move for Kelly to sell her duplex in Brooklyn and considerably downsize to this pre-war apartment. The apartment needed some work, they put in a new kitchen and floors and they gave the apartment a fresh coat of paint. I especially love the paint color in the kitchen, even though the space is small the dark color gives it an even more cozy feeling. The apartment is decorated with items they have collected over the years so it isn’t just an impersonal second home. You can see that they put in a lot of work and love into this apartment and the result is a beautifully cozy home with some vintage touches.
