Located in Palm Beach, Sydney this spacious holiday home has been completely redesigned by architecture & interior design firm Alexander & Co. The plan was to create an open-planned ‘European style’ home that combines indoor and outdoor living. The home definitely feels bright and spacious and with the steelframe doors you can open them up to the waterfront garden. What a dream it must be to live so close to the ocean and have such an amazing view from your home.
Gosh I love a good warehouse apartment, especially when you can still see the old features. This stunning warehouse apartment in Sydney has everything that I love about warehouse conversions. Great exposed brickwork in the kitchen and lovely old wooden beams. Combine this with lots of artwork and industrial furnishings and you’ve got yourself a dream home. Everything about this apartment is just right, except for it being in Sydney and costing $1.2 million *sigh*. Well, at least we can dream right?
I’m really enjoying light beach style homes the last few days. Yesterday I showed you a beautiful bright seaside home in South Africa and today we’re going to Sydney for another bright home on the coast. The surroundings of this home are visible in the interior (which is designed by Hare & Klein) by the use of light colours, wooden pieces, various blue-tones and lots of different textures. The owners wanted an interior that is ‘authentic and not showy’ that draws inspration from the city and the ocean. This resulted in a very relaxed and sophisticated family home on the seaside in Sydney, I think you must always feel calm in a home like this.
